Nobody Got Excited over the Idea of Biden and Harris in the White House
They got the most votes ever but nobody loved Biden or Harris as candidates

Joe Biden wanted to be president since the 1970s and had two failed presidential runs in 1988 and 2008 before winning in 2020. The reason he won in 2020 was that he was the best alternative to beat President Trump because he appeared to be the least radical of the rest of the Democrats. He got portrayed as someone who could get us back to normal and pretended to be a unifying figure. It turns out Biden only wants forced unity, support, and compliance to his policies.
Every Democrat knew Kamala Harris would be a terrible nominee and was more inauthentic than Hillary Clinton. The only reason she thought she would have a chance was the Democrat’s obsession with race and gender. Those factors are more important than merit and qualifications to Democrat voters. She’s a minority female so that automatically gave her advantages based on immutable characteristics. She dropped out before any votes were cast.
Harris's status as a minority female was enough to get her on the Biden’s ticket. Biden said he would pick a woman or person of color as his vice president to check off as many diversity boxes as possible. It wasn’t her charisma, accomplishments as Attorney General of California, record in the Senate, or her performance in the primary that got her on his ticket. There were plenty of better people for Biden to select as his vice president.
It turns out Biden only wants forced unity, support, and compliance to his policies.
Biden ran the most unenthusiastic and lackadaisical campaign ever. He spent most of it in his basement and did few campaign events and rallies. The ones he did do looked ridiculous with people sitting in socially distanced circles with masks on or sitting in their cars, probably masked. He didn’t do any interviews with press organizations that would challenge him because his team knew he couldn’t handle it.
There was never a feeling Biden was a natural successor to President Obama. Everyone thought it was going to be Hillary Clinton’s coronation in 2016 when she lost to Trump. Biden didn’t have any constituency in the Democratic Party clamoring for him to succeed Obama. The entire point of Biden in 2008 was to put someone on the ticket who had more experience in Washington who could help Obama.
The only reason she thought she would have a chance was the Democrat’s obsession with race and gender.
Trump and Obama were candidates that generated massive enthusiasm when they ran. Obama had the appeal of making history to become the first Black president and had remarkable charisma. Trump appealed to the common person who was tired of Obama’s extremism. He was a voice for the forgotten middle-class person and held massive rallies. Both presidents generated historic support. The only broad appeal Biden had was not being Trump. He got millions of votes for who he wasn’t, not for who he was.
Running Biden or Harris in 2024 will be a loser for Democrats. Every one of their policies hurts the average American and fails to put America first. Neither of them has that special connection with their voters like President Trump or Obama had. The only reason they won the White House was because they met all the requirements of a ticket set up to beat Trump because of who they weren’t or their immutable characteristics.
